Why
is it difficult to get married nowadays ?
Nowadays, getting married for young
people has become a big issue in our society. So, if one wonders about the
roots of this problem, he or she would enumerate several reasons .To my knowledge, the most noticeable
reasons that give rise to this phenomenon are cost of marriage, unemployment and pursuit of career.
The cost of marriage is one
important reason which keeps many people from getting married early . For example, I
asked many of my friends why not getting married now, and the general answer
was marriage is very expensive. Since they couldn’t afford it, they have no choiuce but to wait for the destiny .Moreover,
many parents want their sons and daughters to have a special wedding;
consequently they have to come with a big sum of money which can be sometimes
difficult. All this makes it harder for young men, especially unemployed, to
get married at early age.
Another equally important reason to this
phenomenon is unemployment. The latter has become a tremendous obstacle in the
way of marriage. For, as the rate of jobless people is getting higher in our society,
the number of married ones is decreasing. In the past, people used to get married without
having a job; but now life is different. People used to live in their parents
‘houses with their wives and used to live on their fathers breadwinning jobs. However, people , nowadays,should have their own houses
for their wives and a job to feed their families. Therefore, the more jobless
people , the less married ones.
The pursuit of one‘s career might be
a hindrance to his or her marriage. Many girls or young men would rather pursue
their dreams than getting married. In this case, the majority of people would
wait a long time before getting into the world of marriage. As an experience,
the only thing that stands between me or some of my friends and marriage is the idea of
pursuing dreams which may or may not be realized .therefore; getting married in
at early age appears a farfetched objective .
Finally, getting married at early age may be a good opportunity to succeed in one 's life ; however, it might be an obstacle to realize one dreams .
